Shinya Koizumi

Shinya “The Force” Koizumi’s reputation as a public speaker and self-help guru proceeds him. A man of many words (mostly large ones), Koizumi shot to international attention in 2002, after his legendary presentation at the TED Conference. There he orated the first in a series of talks on how transcendental meditation mantras could afford a method of connecting with “really hot” girls at bars.
As unorthodox and edgy as many believed his talk to be, Koizumi’s dynamic way with crowds was clearly something to be reckoned with. Shortly thereafter, Advertising Age dubbed him the “Jerry Lee Lewis of motivational seminars”, and Forbes’ editors referenced him as, “the guy you’d most like to go to a frat party with.” Success almost seemed too easy for Koizumi, and he indulged his non-conventional interests with zeal.
After a series of cameos in independent Bolivian cinema, he returned to the United States, where he ended his long-standing relationship with Jessica Simpson. He later referenced Simpson as being “kind of high maintenance”. Koizumi rounded out 2007 by touring with U2 as a personal “synergarian”, who worked to align Bono’s hairstyles and glasses with the auras of specific concert venues.
Although we enjoy Shinya’s presence at MakeFive, it’s sometimes hard to get him to shut-up and just work. Part of this relates to the number of IMs he receives from adoring fans. As such, we urge you to only contact Mr. Koizumi when he is away from the office, as this allows him to focus more. Additionally, deliveries of love-letters and skimpy, soiled women’s undergarments will no longer be accepted by Mr. Koizumi’s agents.
